“There’s a rumbly in my tumbly.” - Winnie The Pooh
This incredibly inventive film tells the story of a grown up Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor) who is too invested in his work, and has forgotten how to play, and spend time with his family. He then gets a very unexpected visit from his childhood friend Winnie The Pooh.
This film is wonderfully directed by Marc Forster (The Kite Runner, and Finding Neverland) and the cinematography is very good. There is a massive variety of beautiful shots in the film, and the drab, serious color palette is strangely fitting. The music is also noteworthy. I also really enjoyed the animation, and the way they brought back beloved characters that so many people remember fondly.
Now for issues, there are some pacing problems; some scenes go by much too fast, and other scenes go on for a little too long. Overall though, this film is perfectly enjoyable, and has a nice message.
